Annually 800000 appletrees are harvested in Haspengouw. Haspenwood creates different products for this enterprise.
The Hapsencube constists of a mixture between shreded wood and paraffine and it’s the answer to the current fire baskets.
After consultating local fruit farmers we worked out an action plan where usage, logistics and shapes would give an answer to their specific needs.

The final design is the result of firetests, usage and materials. Every step starting from mixture until production and fultimate packaging were thoroughly thought over.

Each year Flanders DC presents the Henry van de Velde awards. Haspencubes won an award in the category ‘efficiency’.
